Getting started

How do I sign up?

Open the web app at app.ihustleapp.com, enter your mobile number, and verify with the OTP we send. That's it — no password, no download. The Android app is in invite-only beta — apply at ihustleapp.com#early-access.

What does it cost?

Customers pay nothing — posting jobs, receiving bids, and chatting are all free. Hustlers can start free (5 bids a month) and optionally upgrade to Hustler Pro or buy lead credits.

Where does iHustle work?

We're launching in Harare, expanding across Zimbabwe, and then into the wider SADC region.

Customer or hustler — which am I?

Both, if you like. One account works in either mode: post jobs as a customer, or switch to hustler mode to bid on work. Toggle modes any time from the app.

For customers

How do I post a job?

Tap the + button, choose a category, describe the work, add photos, drop a pin on the map, and post. It's free.

Why is my job "under review"?

New posts get a quick automated safety check before they go live to hustlers. This usually clears within a few minutes. Once approved, hustlers in your area can start bidding.

How do I choose a bid?

As hustlers bid, you'll see each offer with their price, rating, and verification status. Chat to ask questions or negotiate, then accept the offer that works best for you. You're never obliged to accept the lowest price.

How do I pay the hustler?

You agree a price in the app and pay the hustler directly when the work is done — cash, EcoCash, or bank transfer. iHustle does not sit between you and your money.

Can I cancel a job?

Yes — open the job in My Jobs and cancel it. If you've already accepted a bid, message the hustler first as a courtesy. Posting is free, so cancelling costs you nothing.

Why are some hustlers verified?

Every hustler completes ID verification. Hustlers can also optionally add trade certifications for a Skill Certified badge. Look for the verified badge when comparing offers.

What if a hustler doesn't show up?

Use the in-app report tool. Repeated no-shows lead to suspension.

Free vs Hustler Pro — what's the difference?

Free hustlers get 5 bids each month (refreshed automatically) and can top up with lead credits any time. Hustler Pro (USD4.99/month) gives unlimited bids — no per-bid cost — plus priority placement in category search, an earnings dashboard, and 30% off all boosts.

What are lead credits?

One credit lets you place one bid. Free hustlers get 5 free bids each month, and you can buy credit packs (USD1.00 = 10 credits in Zimbabwe; packs of 10, 50, and 200) any time. Unused credits expire 12 months after purchase. Hustler Pro subscribers get unlimited bids — no credits needed.

How do bids and counter-offers work?

Browse open jobs near you, then bid your price. You and the customer can chat to negotiate — either side can counter-offer until you agree. The customer picks the offer they want; it doesn't have to be the cheapest.

How do I get verified?

Complete ID verification in the app to earn the verified badge — it's free and helps you win more jobs. You can optionally add trade certifications to earn a Skill Certified badge.

How do I get featured in search?

Hustler Pro subscribers get priority in category search automatically. Any hustler (free or Pro) can also buy a Boost — Bid Spotlight, Category, Area, or Super — for 24-hour visibility upgrades. Pro subscribers get 30% off every boost.

How do I get paid?

Customers pay you directly when the job is done — cash, EcoCash, or transfer. iHustle does not handle payment between customer and hustler.

Billing & payments

How do I pay for a subscription or credits?

Hustler Pro and lead-credit packs are paid through Paynow — EcoCash, OneMoney, Visa, Mastercard, or Zimswitch. (This is separate from paying a hustler for a job, which always happens directly between you and them.)

I paid but my plan isn't active yet

Payments usually confirm within a few minutes. Open the app again after a short wait — if your plan or credits still haven't appeared, contact support with your payment reference and we'll sort it out fast.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings and cancel Hustler Pro. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep Pro benefits until then, and you won't be charged again. You can switch back to free bidding any time.

Can I get a refund?

If something went wrong with a payment — you were charged twice, or a plan didn't activate — contact support with your payment reference and we'll look into it.

Your account

I forgot my password

There are no passwords on iHustle. You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code (OTP) we text you each time. If you're not getting the code, check your number and signal, then request it again.

Can I change my mobile number?

Your mobile number is your iHustle identity. To move to a new number, contact support and we'll help you transfer your account safely.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from Settings, or see ihustleapp.com/legal/delete-account. Deletion is permanent — the number is deactivated and the account can't be restored.
